DESCRIPTION 

The Registered Scrum Master credential is the only Scrum Master credential endorsed by Jeff Sutherland, co-creator of Scrum and inventor of Scrum@Scale. The RSM will highlight your experience to employers, stakeholders, and peers. The Registered Scrum Master credential formally certifies your knowledge of Lean principles, Scrum Master techniques, patterns of high-performing teams, and how the Scrum Master role scales in an organization.

As a Registered Scrum Master, you’ll help the Scrum Team perform at their highest level. Through the certification process, you will learn the Scrum framework and gain an understanding of team roles, events, and artifacts.

Our Registered Scrum Master training was developed by the co-creator of Scrum, Dr. Jeff Sutherland. In this course, we’ll share his insights and strategies from decades of success launching high-performing Scrum teams in businesses around the globe. 

 

This two-day course is dynamic and highly interactive. Class participants will start by organizing into Scrum teams. You'll take part in a variety of games and exercises, that will allow you to experience the Scrum Master role first-hand. With the help of your instructors, you and your team will create a product backlog, prioritize it, and manage a burndown chart. You will leave the class knowing how Scrum can accelerate any project. This training is for all levels of Scrum experience. There are no prerequisites.

 

As a Registered Scrum Master you will be prepared to:

Students who successfully complete the course and pass the exam will earn their Registered Scrum Master credential signed by the co-creator of Scrum, Dr. Jeff Sutherland.

The 2-day Registered Scrum Master class is suitable for those practicing or looking to practice the art of the Scrum Master but is highly valuable for anyone involved in Scrum (Managers, Team Members, Product Managers, etc.).  While no experience is necessary, attendees should have some familiarity with Scrum.

After successfully completing this class, participants can claim 16 PDUs or Contact Hours with the PMI. These PDUs can be applied towards your 21 Contact Hour requirement for your Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) status.

 

Access to Your Own Learning and Coaching Community

You'll be able to connect with your fellow students and instructor via classroom team channels. These Slack channels help to build a community of Scrum Masters practitioners that lives long after the class sessions.

 

About the Instructor

Ernesto Custodio, MBA, Ph.D. has over 25 years of experience working in the IT field. His experience includes Product Management, Software Development Management, Business Development Management, Project Management, Agile Coach, and Agile Trainer working with startups and Fortune 500 companies. His expertise includes Agile coaching, Agile transformations, and managing geographically dispersed teams. Dr. Custodio is a Certified Scrum@Scale Trainer (CS@T), Scrum Inc Trainer, Certified SAFe Program Consultant (CSPC), Certified Scrum Professional – SM and PO (CSP-SM/PO), and PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), holds an MBA and Ph.D. in Information Systems.
