About the event

This Distributed Agile Practioner Certification Class naturally extends the different core Agile frameworks to deliver hyper-productive results across remote team members. Participants will learn new techniques for optimizing Agile when working remotely. The class provides an overview on how to effectively implement Distributed Scrum for different types of team compositions. You will learn the principles to effectively work with distributed teams, remote team members, as well as in hybrid Agile environments. You will become proficient in the challenges and solutions associated with implementing Agile in distributed settings. In the course, you will assess your distributed implementation readiness and how to make the necessary changes to become an effective remote Agile team. You will leave with a transformation map and actionable items to make you an effective remote Agilist.

About the Instructors

Ernesto Custodio has over 25 years of experience working in the IT field. His experience includes Product Management, Software Development Management, Business Development Management, Project Management, Agile Coach, and Agile Trainer working with startups and Fortune 500 Companies. As a Certified Scrum@Scale trainer, Certified Scrum Inc. Trainer, (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC), CS@SP, CSP-SM, CSP-PO, CSM, CSPO, and PMP, he promotes Agile practices to build innovative solutions. His expertise includes large-scale Agile transformations and managing geographically dispersed teams. Ernesto holds an MBA and is a current Information Systems Ph. D. candidate focused on distributed Agile team collaboration.

Brian Levy’s goal is to enhance business and IT operations by mentoring people and enhancing organizational processes through mentoring, training and consulting. Brian is a Certified Scrum@Scale Trainer, Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified IBM Rational Engineer, Certified Business Analysis Profession, Certified Microsoft Office Professional, and PMI Certified Project Management Professional mentor with 18 years of experience in finance, banking, insurance, and telecommunications. Brian’s ability to rapidly learn an organization’s culture and utilize his experience (i.e. as a developer, tester, analyst, project manager, configuration manager) to deliver practical mentoring and training enables quick adoption of best practices and results to client organizations.
